I must say, my husband and i were in bed watching the Olympics last night and went- in a few short seconds - from laying to jumping and screaming and cheering full on.
It was the ultimate, you're-never-going-to-believe-it moment, one that i am so happy to have witnessed.
It truly felt like one of the greatest moments in time and i'm not even a huge swimming fan, or even a Phelps fan really. I mean i am, but i don't really know much about him and haven't followed him through the years like many.
But that moment at the end, it just felt so special to see and feel. The entire race had us captivated, there was just a sense that something big was going to happen. The entire scenario was perfect, from the beginning to end - from the French word bashing, to the ultimate team victory...it was just great. We felt good the rest of the night :-)
It was an inspiring moment for all i think...
